Job Description The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York City is seeking a highly motivated, team-spirited veterinarian to join our Dentistry Service. You will not find a hospital that practices a higher level of medicine while fostering camaraderie and dedication to patient care like at AMC. Our team is led by two highly experienced dentists (including one who is board certified), one resident, and supported by a team of experienced technicians and assistants. The applicant must be board eligible or board certified in Dentistry and eligible for licensure in New York State. About Dentistry at AMC The dentistry suite has 4 workstations each equipped with Midmark Canis Major wet tables and VetPro5000 dental units. Each table has Berchold LED surgical lighting, Mindray anesthesia monitors, large high detail monitors above each table for radiographs, Bair Huggers and electrocautery units. We currently have three modalities for dental imaging including PS-2 direct #2 sensors, a ScanX Duo indirect scanner system with sizes 0-4 plates, and a VetCAT cone beam CT, along with access to the fully staffed radiology department's ultrasound, plain radiography, MRI and CT capability. The suite is also equipped with a Sirona X-Smart IQ handpiece and a lightspeed Elements motor and handpiece including the full complement of rotary files. The Dentistry Service is busy with a wide range of cases including maxillofacial trauma, orthodontics and oral surgical oncology. The AMC is currently undergoing a $100 million renovation and the new surgical floor will be equipped with an operatory appropriate for performing oral surgeries, opening in 2024. Job Description The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) is seeking a Staff Criticalist to join our team of ten that currently work in the Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Department. About Emergency & Critical Care at AMC The AMC is one of the nation's largest facilities for animal care, research, and education. The state-of-the-art hospital operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, with 55,000 patient visits annually. Over 140 veterinarians comprise the professional staff, representing all specialties, and providing a progressive, stimulating, and rewarding working environment. The ECC Department is currently comprised of ten board-certified specialists in ECC, seven internship-trained emergency doctors, nine residents, 35 licensed technicians (several with their VTS in ECC), and 23 assistants. In our open new-renovated ICU, patients are co-managed by ECC and allied services or managed primarily by the ECC team. Our ER is at the hospital's center, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has an active caseload of nearly 20,000 visits per year. AMC is the only VETCOT certified, Level 1 trauma center in the region. The successful candidate will be expected to practice outstanding medicine, to assist in the training of residents and interns, and to contribute to the growth and development of the department internally and the specialty as a whole. What You'll Do: • Conduct a thorough vehicle inspection., • Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer/clients' lot safely., • Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system to correct VIN, mileage, and sub series., • Inspect vehicle equipment and options, documenting results including damage, missing or inoperable items., • Inspect and record vehicle exterior condition, including but not limited to tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components., • Inspect and record the vehicle interior condition, including but not limited to seats, dashboard, and options., • Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles including powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components., • Prepare and provide daily activity reports for management., • Be able to pivot and adapt to changes in daily appointments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of each dealer visit, • Develop strong knowledge of clients in territory and work together with partners to keep them active with Manheim mobile inspections through regular, pro-active on lot engagement, • Receive data and insight from partners and leverage to maximize volume of units inspected on dealer lots., • Represent Cox Automotive as a brand ambassador and provide premier client experience by interfacing regularly core clients and ensuring satisfaction., • Functions as a solid team player and works closely with the Wholesale Specialist team, peers, other Manheim workgroups and auctions., • Utilize SalesForce.com for reporting, lead input and customer performance reviews., • Understanding NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy., • Will work in a continuous improvement/Lean environment and encouraged to drive a lean culture., • Maintain production expectations set by the leader., • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence., • Perform dealership inventory audits and verify vehicle documentation for finance companies., • Conduct detailed vehicle damage assessments and generated accurate repair estimates., • Collaborate with insurance companies and repair shops to ensure timely processing of claims and supplements., • Inspect vehicle condition for auction readiness and assist in pricing strategy., • Manage field operations and lease-end inspections with attention to detail and compliance., • Other duties as assigned. Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills Minimum Qualification: • High School Diploma/GED required and 3 years of any automotive related experience., • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required., • Travel 100% - Reliable transportation required. Able to identify exterior or interior colors., • Ability to deal with different lighting (i.e. exterior and interior lighting, natural and artificial light), • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements. Floor Plan Audit Skills • Ability to read and interpret financial documents, • Basic understanding of accounting practices, • Preferred job experience in Banking / Auto Finance, Accounting, Inventory Management, and/or Dealership Operations, • Detail oriented with ability to accurately enter data and information, • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), • Strong time management skills, • Proven experience with handling conflict resolution, • High level of personal integrity and ethical judgement, • Strong organizational skills and proficient with technology platforms / applications Preferred: • Experience in navigating handheld and other documentation devices preferred., • Body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge helpful., • Familiarity with unibody and full-frame helpful. MSCOX USD 20.29 - 30.38 per hour Compensation: Hourly pay rate is in the range of $20.29 - $30.38/hour. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the hourly range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $6,000.00. Benefits: Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
