Job Description Warehouse & Inventory Manager Position Overview The Warehouse & Inventory Manager oversees all warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, material flow, and logistics activities that support the manufacturing, repair, and service of gas turbine engines and components. This role ensures that parts are received, inspected, stored, and delivered with efficiency, accuracy, and compliance to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace supply chain environments, excellent leadership skills, and deep understanding of the unique requirements associated with high-value, serialized turbine components. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Management • Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, kitting, staging, and shipping of gas turbine components and consumables., • Ensure proper handling and storage of high-value and sensitive turbine parts (e.g., blades, rotors, castings, combustor hardware)., • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment following OSHA, ISO, and company safety standards., • Implement and manage inventory control systems to ensure 99%+ accuracy of stock levels, lot numbers, serial numbers, and shelf-life–controlled materials., • Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories., • Monitor and manage min/max levels, reorder points, and safety stock to support production operations., • Coordinate with procurement and planning teams to optimize material availability and reduce excess/obsolete inventory., • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including domestic and international shipments of turbine parts., • Liaise with freight carriers, customs brokers, and logistics partners to ensure timely and compliant movement of materials., • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff—as well as influence surrounding departments on processes and procedures., • Partner with production, planning, engineering, and quality to ensure material availability and accuracy., • Utilize ERP/MRP systems (QAD, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) to manage inventory transactions and material flow., • Create and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports for inventory accuracy, cycle counts, warehouse efficiency, and cost savings/reduction. Required • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or supply chain management in an industrial, aerospace, power generation, or similar assembly and manufacturing environment., • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, material traceability, and documentation requirements., • Experience handling serialized, high-value components., • Proficiency in ERP systems (QAD, SAP, Oracle, etc.)., • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills., • Experience working directly with gas turbines, turbomachinery, or rotating equipment., • Certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar., • Working knowledge of import/export regulations (ITAR, EAR, customs documentation)., • High attention to detail, • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced and rapid response situations, • Safety mindset, • Continuous improvement orientation, • Due to the nature of PBS Aerospace’s business as a defense contractor, this position is limited to U.S. citizens, as defined under applicable federal regulations., • 10% of international travel to Europe is required in the first year., • Typically, in a manufacturing facility the environment can be noisy and requires the use of protective gear., • The role may involve standing, walking, and lifting, and can be physically demanding., • Able to lift to 50 pounds.
