Job Description BAYADA Hospice is currently seeking an experienced CHHA, Certified Home Health Aide for a full-time opportunity to complete hospice visits to clients located throughout Ocean or Monmouth County in NJ. As a Home Health Aide, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides home health aide, skilled nursing and palliative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the care required to remain at home. A Home Health Aide / CHHA must: • Have at least one year of work experience, • Must be listed on the NJ Aide Registry, active and in good standing., • Demonstrate an ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English, • Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination, • Have a criminal background check completed, • Meet all state requirements, • Enjoy being part of a team that cares and a company that believes in leading with our values Job Responsibilities for CHHA – Home Health Aides : • Activities of daily living, • Light housekeeping, • Bathing, • Grooming, • Toileting, • Nail care, • Range of motion / exercises, • Transfers / use of mechanical lifting devices, • Oral feeding, • Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration, • Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc., • Assisting with ambulation, • Medication assistance Base Pay, depending upon qualifications and subject to negotiation: $20-21 per hour As an accredited, regulated, certified, and licensed home health care provider, BAYADA complies with all state/local mandates. The Live-In Caregiver is present in the home and available to provide assistance intermittently throughout a 24 hour period.
