Job DescriptionJob Title: Deicing AssemblerJob Description The Deicing Assembler plays a key role in producing high-quality deicing components by assembling composite and elastomeric materials using complex fixtures and tooling. This position follows detailed instructions and blueprints to ensure precise assembly, supports quality inspection activities, and contributes to a clean, organized, and efficient production environment. Responsibilities • Assemble composite and elastomeric materials using complex fixtures, tooling, and specialized equipment., • Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings to perform accurate assembly tasks., • Mix adhesive RTV and other sealing compounds in accordance with specifications and safety guidelines., • Perform layup operations using power tools, air presses, air tools, riveting equipment, and other assembly tools., • Crimp and spot weld terminals and perform electrical assembly tasks as required., • Mold cement, perform T/S checks, and accurately record resistance and other measurement data., • Inspect finished products to verify they meet established quality standards and specifications., • Use scanners and computer systems to track time, attendance, and work traveler information., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all workplace and equipment safety procedures., • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work, resolve issues, and meet production goals., • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and production schedules.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Previous experience in composite and elastomeric material assembly preferred., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and simple written instructions., • Ability to mix adhesive RTV and other sealing compounds accurately., • Experience with layup operations using power tools, air press, air tools, riveting equipment, and related assembly tools., • Ability to crimp and spot weld terminals and perform basic electrical assembly tasks., • Capability to mold cement, perform T/S checks, and record resistance measurements., • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex fixtures and tooling., • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals., • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and work in standardized situations., • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines., • Eligibility to work on projects subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), requiring U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in electrical assembly and inspection assembly., • Proficiency in blueprint reading for manufacturing and assembly operations., • Comfort using a variety of power tools and hand tools in a production environment., • Ability to use a scanner for time, attendance, and work traveler tracking., • Demonstrated commitment to precision, quality, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role operates in a production setting with a standard schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work involves regular standing, frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Employees frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds. The position requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to work effectively with detailed components and tooling. The environment includes the use of power tools, air presses, air tools, riveting equipment, and other manufacturing equipment, with an emphasis on maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
