Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse WorkerJob Description This role focuses on a variety of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, stocking, organizing, and preparing orders. You will handle materials, scan and label items, and support accurate inventory control in a fast-paced environment using RF scanning equipment and manual pallet jacks. Responsibilities • Perform general warehouse duties related to shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading materials., • Stock shelves, sort packages, and organize items to maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient warehouse layout., • Pick orders accurately and prepare, pack, and label boxes and packages for shipment., • Use RF scanners and RF scan guns to scan, label, mark, and track inventory and orders., • Assist with inventory activities, including counting, recording, and verifying stock levels., • Handle materials safely using manual pallet jacks and other approved material handling tools., • Support warehouse production by moving, staging, and consolidating goods as directed., • Follow established processes and safety-conscious directions in narrow aisles with forklifts and hand carts., • Comply with all warehouse rules, including restrictions on cellphones and electronics, and adhere to dress and safety requirements., • Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to meet productivity and quality goals.Essential Skills, • 0–6 months of related warehouse or general labor experience (warehouse experience preferred)., • High School Diploma or GED., • Ability to perform general labor and material handling tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment., • Experience or comfort with packing boxes, packing orders, and preparing shipments., • Ability to use RF scanners or RF scan guns for scanning, labeling, and inventory tracking., • Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading., • Capability to operate a manual pallet jack safely., • Attention to detail when picking orders, stocking shelves, and sorting packages., • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials throughout the shift., • Commitment to following safety procedures and warehouse guidelines, including equipment and aisle navigation rules.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Prior experience in warehouse production, shipping, receiving, stocking, or sorting is a plus., • Familiarity with inventory processes, including counting and recording stock levels., • Comfort working in varying temperature conditions and adapting to seasonal changes., • Willingness to train and certify on CROWN trucks upon permanent hire (no prior forklift certification required)., • Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a team., • Good communication skills to follow instructions and coordinate with supervisors and coworkers.Why Work Here? Work Environment You work in a fast-paced warehouse with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move rapidly in safety-conscious directions. The facility enforces a no-cellphone and no-electronics policy on the warehouse floor to maintain focus and safety. Temperature conditions vary by season: the warehouse is heated in winter to around 60 degrees, and it becomes very warm in summer, with fans and water coolers placed throughout to support comfort. Team members should dress in light, breathable layers appropriate for changing temperatures. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, while open-toe shoes, sandals, flats, and heels are not permitted. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
