Join us and build for travelers everywhere. /p h3Area Manager /h3 pThe Area Manager is responsible for leading a team that is responsible for the account management, strategy implementation, and planning within an assigned market geography. /p pAs an Area Manager, you and your team will support delivery of revenue and/or acquisition goals, by developing and sustaining strong hotel and property partner relationships within the assigned area, driving implementation of internal business initiatives, and process efficiencies. /p pIn doing so, you and your team will work with Expedia Group’s hotel and property partners to help them maximize the production potential from their participation in the Expedia marketplace by smartly utilizing the power of Expedia Group’s unique data insights, marketing, distribution and revenue management toolset. /p h3What you’ll do /h3 ul liLead a team including Market Managers and Associate Market Managers in the assigned market. /li liContinuously coach and provide recommendations to direct reports; improve team productivity and effectiveness by building the skills and capabilities of the team members. /li liSupply cross‑functional Expedia business initiatives; through initiation and planning stages to actively anticipate market impact and roll out plans. /li liProvide input to senior management in developing effective and scalable solutions to improve process efficiencies. /li liDevelop and sustain strong partner relationships by delivering consulting services. /li liDevelop drive sound recommendations based on insights from data analysis to optimize hotels in the Expedia marketplace and their lodging market overall. /li liRepresent Expedia in the local market, build Expedia’s company profile with key local influencers (e.g. tourism bureau, hotel association, etc.) and provide expertise to the local industry. /li liPromote Expedia’s full suite of products offerings to partners and educate them on the full use of our products and tools. /li liLead the execution of overall market business plans to meet or exceed key targets, goals and/or strategic objectives set by LPS leadership. /li liEffectively handle working relationships, team’s productivity and morale. /li liContinuously improve collaboration with other internal functions and across Expedia. /li liOther reasonable duties, as assigned. /li /ul h3Who you are /h3 ul liBachelor’s Degree; or equivalent related professional experience. /li liPeople management experience preferable. /li liTravel/hospitality industry experience. /li li20–30% of travel. /li liDemonstrated ability to achieve and set goals. /li liLead cross‑functional teams successfully in a fast‑paced team environment. /li liStrong project management skills, including multiple projects at a time, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. /li liExecute marketplace initiatives with a strong eye on improving margin opportunity, obtaining lodging rates and availability information and driving long‑term relationships with our supply partners, especially our key accounts. /li liAbility to have an effect for internal and external decision makers. /li liStrong written and oral communication skills; including fundamental pitching and articulate ideas clearly and appropriately influence others. /li liProficiency with Project Management and CRM tools (preferably Microsoft Project and Salesforce). Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to €109,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. /p pStarting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
