Program Summary Provide base operations support and mission essential services are the minimum support required to sustain flying operations and maintain key infrastructure. The contractor shall ensure essential services are provided without interruption, to include periods of crisis or worker unrest. In accordance with DFARs252.237-7023, the contractor shall provide for government approval, a written plan for continuing the performance of mission essential services. Job Summary Provide Transient Alert Team Member functions at Moron Air Base, Spain. (American National Mandatory). Team member possesses technical expertise and knowledge to handle and service all transient aircraft and can tow tactical and heavy aircraft as applied to crash recovery/transient alert duties. Performs ground handling and servicing of aircraft arriving and departing the airfield IAW applicable Technical Orders. Escorts transient aircraft to designated parking locations. Performs aircraft recovery, servicing, visual inspection, launch and end of runway inspections on transient tactical aircraft IAW applicable AF instructions and Technical Orders. Maintains aircraft support equipment (SE), forms and records. Provide aircrews with maintenance and supply support. Tows Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) as required. Monitor work related program. Material & Equipment Directly Used Operates assigned vehicles and various powered/Non-powered AGE equipment in support of transient aircraft. Handles various products such as liquid oxygen, gaseous oxygen, liquid and gaseous nitrogen, turbine engine oil, hydraulic fluid and JP-8 fuel. Exposed to hazardous noise that requires wearing of hearing protection and other PPE. Required to push, pull, and lift heavy equipment. Working Environment Works on or near various types of aircraft with or without operating engines on the flight line. Works in various weather conditions to include winter cold, summer hot and rain with windchill factors. Physical Activities Shall be able to stand or walk for long periods of time. Shall have the ability to lift non-two-person weighted objects from ground level. Shall have the ability to lift two-person weighted objects from ground level with required assistance. Roles and Responsibilities Execute transient aircraft servicing in strict accordance with applicable technical data and established protocols. Pre-position necessary equipment and conduct 100% foreign object damage checks on aircraft parking apron, taxi routes, and parking areas, ensuring completion 30 minutes before aircraft arrival or departure. Assist aircrews in securing aircraft during inclement weather conditions. Perform a range of aircraft services, including parking, chocking, grounding, marshaling, towing, refueling, engine oil, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and liquid oxygen servicing. Execute operator care and servicing maintenance on assigned vehicles to ensure operational readiness. Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in all work areas, adhering to established standards. Adhere to directives related to environmental laws concerning the proper disposition of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) residue. Assist in replenishing liquid oxygen, gaseous oxygen, and nitrogen carts, ensuring accurate documentation is maintained. Demonstrate proficiency in towing tactical or cargo aircraft, specifically related to crash recovery and transient alert procedures. Collaborate with other Transient Alert team members on aircraft recovery, service, inspection, maintenance, launch, and provide End‑of‑Runway (EOR) inspections for transient tactical aircraft. Basic Qualifications US Citizenship Possesses a Valid U.S. Passport & Driver’s License. Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance OR ability to obtain. 2 + years of experience in the tactical or cargo aircraft maintenance, back‑shop or specialist fields Technical expertise and knowledge to handle and service all transient aircraft. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications Active US Secret Security Clearance Knowledge of environmental laws concerning the proper disposition of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT).
