Our client, an important multinational in the industrial composites sector, seeks to strengthen its technical team with the figure of a: LABORATORY ENGINEER (Composites Industrial Sector) MISSION STATEMENT: Reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Engineer’s mission is to manage, optimize, and support laboratory activities related to physico-chemical and mechanical testing of composite materials. This role ensures accurate testing, compliance with customer and internal specifications, continuous improvement of laboratory processes, and technical support to production, customers, and other company sites. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES: The Laboratory Engineer in an industrial composites environment plays a key role in ensuring product quality, certification, and technical support. His/her responsibilities will include: • Laboratory Management and Operations: Managing the physico-chemical and mechanical laboratory to achieve certification targets and ensure reliable test results. • Testing and Validation: Coordinating and executing laboratory testing activities on composite materials, ensuring compliance with internal and customer specifications. • Technical Support: Providing support to production plants, customers, and other company sites regarding laboratory results, testing issues, and material performance. • Specifications and Standards: Reviewing customer and internal testing specifications and defining appropriate testing requirements. • Data Management and Systems: Maintaining and improving laboratory information management systems (e.g., GLIMS) and ensuring accurate data analysis and reporting. • Team Coordination and Training: Coordinating laboratory technicians, managing training plans, and participating in recruitment and onboarding of new lab personnel. • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve laboratory processes, efficiency, and data reliability, contributing to overall operational excellence. QUALIFICATIONS: • Degree in Chemistry or Engineering., • Experience in composite materials testing., • Experience as group coordinator or team leader., • High level of English (spoken and written)., • Advanced knowledge in data analysis software (Microsoft Office, Minitab, etc.). SALARY: Depending on the experience provided by the candidate (in line with the composites industrial market). Flexible Timetable: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with an hour for lunch. Intensive day from June to September. The workplace will be in Parla, the South area of MADRID.
