ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE & DIGITAL LEARNING MANAGER (m/f/d) About the Role *This is an office-based role in Alicante (Valencian Community). Albali Centros de Formación is seeking an Academic Excellence & Digital Learning Manager to lead the continuous improvement, standardisation and digital transformation of our academic model across all campuses. This role combines academic quality, faculty development, learning innovation and digital content creation. The successful candidate will ensure that all students receive a consistent, high-quality learning experience regardless of location, while progressively transforming Albali's know-how into scalable digital learning assets. The role will play a key part in supporting Albali's ambitious growth plans by creating a robust, replicable and technology-enabled academic model that can scale efficiently across new campuses and programmes. REPORTING LINE • Reports directly to Management., • Works in close coordination with the Academic Operations Manager., • Leads the network of Subject Coordinators functionally., • Collaborates closely with HR, Operations and IT teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES PILLAR 1 · Academic Excellence Faculty Performance & Development • Evaluate teaching quality through classroom observations, feedback processes and performance reviews., • Design and implement improvement plans for faculty members., • Lead onboarding, training and mentoring programmes for new and existing teachers., • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Academic Standards & Consistency • Standardise teaching methodologies, learning materials, practical activities and assessment criteria across all campuses., • Develop and maintain teaching guidelines and academic best practices., • Ensure a consistent student experience regardless of campus or instructor. Academic Recruitment Support • Support HR in the academic assessment and validation of teaching candidates., • Participate in interviews and teaching evaluations when required., • Help define faculty competency frameworks and selection criteria. Leadership of Subject Coordinators • Lead and coordinate the network of Subject Coordinators across all disciplines., • Ensure continuous review and improvement of content, methodology, practical exercises and assessments., • Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration among subject matter experts. Academic Quality & Performance Monitoring • Define and monitor academic KPIs and quality indicators., • Analyse student satisfaction, academic performance and learning outcomes., • Identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions., • Drive a culture of evidence-based decision-making. Compliance & Accreditation • Ensure compliance with academic regulations, accreditation requirements and quality standards., • Coordinate academic audits and evidence-gathering processes., • Maintain readiness for external inspections and accreditation reviews. Academic Innovation • Identify and prioritise initiatives that improve teaching effectiveness and student outcomes., • Evaluate emerging educational methodologies and technologies., • Promote innovation while maintaining academic rigour and operational simplicity. PILLAR 2 · Digital Learning & Innovation Digital Content Development • Create and oversee the production of digital learning assets, including videos, learning capsules, tutorials and supporting materials., • Convert classroom-based knowledge into scalable digital resources., • Establish quality standards for digital educational content. LMS Management • Manage and continuously improve the learning management system (Moodle)., • Optimise the learner experience and platform usability., • Support integrations with other systems and educational tools. Artificial Intelligence Applied to Learning • Identify and implement AI solutions to enhance content creation, assessment, tutoring and student support., • Promote practical and responsible adoption of AI within the academic model., • Train faculty members on AI-enabled teaching tools and methodologies. Blended & Online Learning • Support the design and implementation of hybrid and online programmes., • Adapt existing face-to-face content into effective digital learning experiences., • Ensure consistency of quality across all delivery formats. Faculty Digital Upskilling • Train and support teachers in the use of digital tools, platforms and educational technologies., • Encourage adoption of best practices in digital teaching and learning. PILLAR 3 · Knowledge Management & Scalability Knowledge Capture • Capture and structure the expertise of teachers, coordinators and subject matter experts., • Create repositories of reusable academic resources and best practices. Academic Asset Creation • Transform individual know-how into institutional knowledge., • Build scalable academic frameworks, templates, assessment models, and learning resources. Scalability & Replicability • Design academic processes that allow Albali to expand into new campuses while maintaining quality standards., • Reduce dependency on individual instructors through robust systems and documentation., • Support the creation of a scalable and replicable academic model. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Essential • 5+ years of experience in academic quality, educational leadership, faculty development, instructional design or learning innovation., • Experience managing or coordinating teaching teams, academic departments or educational projects., • Experience working with Learning Management Systems, ideally Moodle., • Experience creating, supervising or managing digital learning content., • Proven track record of implementing standards, processes and continuous improvement initiatives., • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar technologies in professional or educational environments. Desirable • Experience within vocational education, professional training, higher education or multi-campus organisations., • Experience managing accreditation or quality assurance processes., • Experience in blended learning, e-learning or digital transformation projects., • Experience working in fast-growing organisations undergoing expansion. KEY SKILLS Technical Skills • Strong understanding of pedagogy, instructional design and adult learning methodologies., • LMS administration and optimisation (preferably Moodle)., • Digital content creation and basic video production/editing., • Practical use of AI tools for education and content development., • Data analysis and KPI monitoring., • Academic quality assurance and compliance management.
