This role is responsible for actively searching for, connecting with, and negotiating collaboration agreements with different POS Software companies, data aggregators, and data extractors to acquire POS Tlog data from independent trade stores. The role can cover multiple countries, depending on the digitization strategy and needs. About you * • Strong acumen in business development, SMB business., • Resourceful, results-driven, and understanding the basics of POS Software & Hardware capabilities., • Competent in building vendor relationships, starting with desktop research., • Passionate about new POS technologies in SMB business and finding opportunities to connect technology with NIQ data sourcing needs., • Excellent negotiation skills, understanding of legal affairs/contract negotiations with sharp financial acumen. Job Description Responsibilities * • Work closely with the Data Strategy team & regional Product Leads to understand product road map and ensure vendor sourcing plans are in sync., • Collaborate with Data Strategy Team & regional Product Leads on channel-level plans and ensure alignment on targeted number of stores & channel types for the country’s vendor needs., • Create sourcing plans at country and channel type level., • Generate leads of POS providers, data aggregators, promo companies, and other eData providers through research, referrals, and networking., • Engage the appropriate decision makers within these companies with data partnership authority., • Pitch NIQ eData vision and plans, and initiate further discussions., • Ensure legal documentation (e.g., NDA) is in place to enable further discussions., • Facilitate vendor discussions through stages of establishing store count estimates, ensuring testing data is received in a proper format, providing feedback on test data, and aligning final usable store counts. Qualifications * • 3-5 years of experience in commercial (sales or customer service) environments., • Ideally from FMCG or Retail background; alternatively, Retail Tech experience., • Great communication skills, out-of-box thinker, creative in establishing contact with POS SW companies and data aggregators., • Operates independently while knowing when and how to seek support., • Collaborates well with stakeholders across functions and is a great team player., • Excellent presentation, sales pitching, contract, and deal negotiation skills., • Strong account management skills, identifying opportunities to grow the business with collaborating vendors., • Confident working with senior leadership., • Thrives in dynamic teams and individual work alike., • Drives discussions to craft lucrative vendor offerings, negotiates deals and business case approvals, and secures contracts., • Ensures smooth handover of vendor relations to eData & internal teams post-contract for technical elements., • Identifies vendors with expansion potential and builds cross-country footprints., • Collaborates with Global Data Partnership teams to create expansion plans, offerings, and investment asks., • Negotiates expansion deals and ensures execution., • Participates in Retailer & Retail Tech events to showcase NielsenIQ eData vision., • Launches social media campaigns to highlight NIQ eData vision.
