Opportunity Merlin Edged has an exciting opportunity for a Data Center Service Manager. In this position you will work directly with Regional Service Manager and Data Center Site Managers, be responsible for develop, roll-out and continuous improvement of site customers projects, services, and reports. We are looking for someone who become an expert in customer experience, infrastructure, including platforms, tools, systems, architecture, workflow, and performance to manage our client footprints. The Data Center Service Manager needs to be agile, professional, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. Key Responsabilities: • Responsible for site customer’s projects, • Drive data analytics, metrics, and interpretation of a complex environment to identify inefficiencies, opportunities, exceptions, and correlations, and proactively respond before they impact the business, • Challenge and guide a world-class technical operations team and tier1 partners, delivering operational performance and engineering insights and tools,, • Design and deliver support and service solutions for Manages Service customers in line with ITIL and/or industry best practice, • Monitoring the effectiveness of the service against SLA/KPI’s, driving through change as needed to deliver continual service improvement, • Be capable of identifying and implementing change within the team to ensure it can take on new service offerings., • Contribute proactively to new service development., • Ensure quality, up-to-date documentation exists for all service arrangements, • Achieve consistent customer satisfaction ratings and respond appropriate to customer feedback on areas for improvement, • Take responsibility for customer escalations and act as a point of escalation both in and out of hours as required, • Drive a continual service improvement schedule based on a desire to become a world class managed service provider., • Delivery of project services, • Develop / provide training schedule to support implementation and operations for our clients, • Develop and implement reviews and audits to ensure consistent implementation standards and identification of areas requiring improvement., • Implement and drive a “lessons learned” approach Skills & Requirements Education / Experience • Minimum of 3 years of experience within data center or industrial environments., • Problem-solving aptitude and advanced knowledge of lean operational methodologies to distill operational data, develop an intentional data-driven strategy, and drive resulting global impact, • Experience mentoring and leading project management professionals is desired but not required, • BS or BA in a technical field, or commensurate experience, • A solid understanding of enterprise level infrastructure is desired, • Have excellent customer management skills, • Knowledge of critical environment concepts and infrastructure (e.g. Electrical Distribution, Mechanical Cooling Systems, etc.), • A solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting, • Project or program management experience and certification(s) (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PMI, Agile...)
