General Objectives As a Project Manager, you will lead renewable energy projects—including wind farms, solar photovoltaic plants, hydropower facilities, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and transmission lines—coordinating both the technical team and direct client engagement. In addition to overseeing the design and execution of projects, the successful candidate will manage the delivery of independent engineering services, due diligence assessments, and technical advisory assignments to support investment decisions and portfolio management across multiple countries. The role also involves supporting the preparation of technical proposals and contributing technical expertise during the business development process when required. Key Objectives Your responsibilities will include: • End-to-end management of renewable energy projects, from conceptual design through detailed engineering. This includes risk identification and mitigation, work package planning, and ensuring project delivery on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards., • Coordination and leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams across local and international offices, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective project execution., • Management of project milestones in accordance with internal processes, technical supervision of deliverables, and document control. Ensuring technical excellence and the implementation of lessons learned across projects., • Providing technical and strategic support during tendering processes and business development activities., • Conducting technical due diligence and project assessments, including the development and review of financial models (DEVEX, CAPEX, OPEX, and DECEX) to support investment decisions., • Leading Owner’s Engineering services, coordinating internal teams in activities such as site selection, resource assessment, technology evaluation, and the review of civil and electrical designs., • Carrying out site visits during both construction and operational phases. Monitoring construction progress against design specifications, budget, and project schedules; compiling and reviewing site findings in monthly progress reports; and managing the resolution of non-conformities., • Advising asset owners on contracting strategies. Reviewing and validating technical specifications for the procurement of critical components; assessing commercial and technical agreements (TSA, BoP, O&M, TCMA, PPA, etc.); supporting procurement processes; and coordinating factory inspections., • Coordinating activities related to operational assets, including infrastructure and structural inspections, implementation of monitoring systems, analysis of results, and development of recommendations., • Performing life-extension assessments and asset performance improvement studies. Planning and coordinating repair activities with Esteyco’s internal teams and overseeing their implementation., • Representing Esteyco at industry events and conferences, while maintaining direct relationships with national and international clients., • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development and growth of the team. You will be involved in projects at various stages of development, including: • Feasibility studies and early-stage project development., • Basic and detailed engineering., • Engineering for permitting and environmental approval processes., • Engineering for tendering and construction., • Owner’s Engineering and technical due diligence services., • Asset management and life-extension projects., • Repowering and decommissioning projects., • Hybrid renewable energy projects and energy storage solutions. Candidate Profile • You hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline., • You have at least three years of experience managing renewable energy projects, particularly wind, solar photovoltaic (PV), and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects., • You have experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing direct client relationships., • You possess strong organizational skills, can work autonomously, and are results-oriented., • You enjoy working in technical and international environments., • You are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to innovative and complex projects., • You have a professional command of both English and Spanish, written and spoken. We will particularly value: • Proven experience in large-scale renewable energy projects across all stages of development., • International project experience., • Knowledge of international standards, regulations, and industry best practices., • Previous experience in engineering consultancy or technical advisory services., • Experience in construction management and/or site supervision., • Strong leadership and team management capabilities., • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
