About the job For our Automotive division in Azuqueca de Henares (SPAIN) we are looking for a Plant Human Resources Manager to join permanently our team. Reporting to the Azuqueca Plant Manager your mission will be: to provide a client facing operational human resources service to the Plant. Implements and monitors human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, equal opportunity and diversity etc. Also manages works to ensure social peace and provides appropriate advice and guidance to all employees within the Plant on HR policy and procedures in line with Exide policy and local labor laws. What will your daily responsibilities include in this role? • To provide day to day operational HR advice/guidance to all employees within the Plant in line with policies and laws., • To manage the day-to-day relationship with the Works Council and trade union representatives, and to actively participate in national-level social dialogue, fostering constructive labor relations in line with company policies and local legislation., • To co-ordinate and plan headcount / resources in line with the needs of the business to ensure employees in right roles at right time., • To lead / support managers with organizational change projects (restructuring, Business Projects) in line with local labor laws., • To provide appropriate metrics/KPI’s /headcount in order to ensure resources are effectively managed., • To manage all employee relations matters and build effective working relationships with key influencers. This includes leading wage/collective agreement negotiations. This also includes managing employee related grievances or other legal processes., • To support managers with recruitment and selection processes and decisions., • To ensure that the programs that ensure that the employee’s competencies, skills and behaviors are aligned with the needs of the organization are duly implemented in the plant., • To develop programs to ensure that the employees are aware of their responsibilities in the areas of EHS; Quality and Energy to achieve the Plant Strategy., • To ensure that key Human Resource tools such as talent management, performance review are fully integrated into the local Plant., • To support managers with the identification of training needs and in defining appropriate training and development actions in line with local role definitions/legal standards., • To provide appropriate compensation and benefits in line with Exide policy and local collective agreements., • To manage local internal communications as appropriate (appointments)., • To be proactive in managing any local compliance matters in line with Exide policy., • To support any Environment health and safety matters and programs such as blood lead reductions, accident investigation and management., • To provide leadership to own team of personnel within the HR function. To manage budgets and resources in line with agreed plans., • To keep abreast of local labor laws and updated in line with legislation changes. What we ask for: • Degree in Law or Human Resource Management and/or masters in Human Resources., • Must have a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience within an industrial/ manufacturing based HR role/environment, of which at least 5 years should be within a HR Manager capacity/ role., • Ideally have demonstrable multinational company experience., • Must have proven experience of working within a regularly changing business environment and proven track record of leading change programs. Experience of driving change programs. Must have experience within an environment where cash is tight and creativity in approach is needed., • Must have experience of managing a variety of day to day operational HR matters and experience in all the main HR processes, including employee relations, works councils, recruitment, selection, redundancy management etc., • Must have track record in understanding and application of local labor laws and collective agreements., • Must have experience of working with external and internal works council and labor authorities and experience of conflict resolution. Must have local knowledge and understanding of the legal and legislative framework that the country has to operate within., • Must have working experience of supporting a culture where performance is tracked and managed using a robust performance review system. Experience of identifying and developing, building talent and developing and executing development plans in line with business needs.
