At ING we are looking for VP of Portfolio Management Your role and work environment: We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic VP of Portfolio Management to join our Lending Team of Wholesale Banking . As a key member of the Portfolio Management team, your responsibility is to actively manage the lending portfolio of Spain & Portugal and optimize returns through strong analytics and capital velocity. You will join a multi-sector and multi-product team (Real Estate Finance, Energy, Infra, Telecommunications, Acquisition Finance), although the role will be mainly focused on project finance transactions in the Energy & Infrastructure sectors. You will collaborate with a wide range of teams -Transaction Management, Capital Markets & Advisory, Risk, Global Credit Restructuring, Legal and more- whilst aligning with back office / support teams. At the same time, the Portfolio Management team plays a key role in further optimizing our processes for regulatory readiness, operational effectiveness and portfolio optimization. Your key responsibilities: The Portfolio Management team will be the 'center of excellence' for the in-life management of ING's WB lending exposure. It covers all activities post the initial funding to the final repayment of a lending transaction. As a front office department, it will closely collaborate with Origination & Structuring colleagues and product specialists to ensure a seamless client experience. The Portfolio Management function will be organised along product and sector considerations. Each portfolio manager will cover a set of portfolio clients and act as the first point of contact for the ongoing credit monitoring, analytics, internal risk and other reporting. Portfolio Management supports the identification of cross-buy opportunities and is also closely involved in the delivery of ING's capital velocity targets. The team will be supported by Global Lending Support in Dublin and the ING hub in the Philippines. It will be a key driver of improving processes, standardisation, and digitalisation across Lending. The specific responsibilities of a VP include actively managing all facets of the individual files booked in your dedicated portfolio, including but not limited to: Quarterly and annual credit reviews; Process amendment and waiver requests, coordination of the credit approval process (write or review credit modifications, perform financial analysis, cash flow- based modelling and sensitivity analysis, perform sustainable transaction assessment, submit to risk and address Q&A), follow-up on the required legal amendments to the documentation until execution; Review annual risk rating updates prepared by an administrative support team, anticipate potential risk migration; Diligent and proactive credit monitoring through the review of all financial covenants and operating performance (e.g. financial models, proforma adjustments, key drivers, etc.) and track compliance of covenants prepared by an administrative support team; Assessment of the deal on product related topics (including initial Leveraged Transaction assessment); Identification and resolution of Early Warning Signals, Unlikely to Pay assessment, Forbearance assessment, Default for a deterioration in credit quality. In addition, a VP will monitor and identify market developments and proactively manage their potential impact on your portfolio by Preparing and maintaining reports as requested by regulators or internal stakeholders; Preparing quarterly Credit Risk Management ("CRM") portfolio reviews; Maintaining various department and industry databases/ trackers; Maintaining internal portfolio tracking metrics; Responding to ad hoc internal requests on portfolio composition and exposure; Coordinating and working with offshore portfolio support teams; Managing lending limits and Capital Velocity programs. A VP will take active part in the various Virtual Client Teams by Interfacing with relationship managers and sector specialists to ensure an active dialogue on credit trends, challenges and opportunities for individual clients; Contributing to idea generation for value added cross-buy or client opportunities. A VP is expected to build a culture of operational excellence by Staying up to date on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e. Risk, Legal, etc.) to ensure appropriate protocols are implemented and followed, and facilitating accordingly; Contributing to the implementation of strategic initiatives, including enhancements to the credit monitoring process to improve business efficiency; Identifying productivity trends across the Front Office organization and using insights from reporting to create and drive efficient processes and improve productivity; Supporting the implementation of transformation projects; Coaching more junior colleagues in their personal and professional development; Contributing to improve data quality monitoring and reporting. CFA and/ or MBA are a plus. Experience / Knowledge: 5+ years of relevant experience in structuring Project Finance deals preferably in the Energy sector in an international environment. Será un motor clave para la mejora de procesos, estandarización y digitalización en Lending., • Las responsabilidades específicas de una persona en el rol de VP incluyen la gestión activa de todos los aspectos de los expedientes individuales asignados a su cartera, incluyendo pero no limitado a: o Revisiones crediticias trimestrales y anuales; o Procesamiento de solicitudes de modificación y exención, coordinación del proceso de aprobación crediticia (redacción o revisión de modificaciones crediticias, análisis financiero, modelización basada en cash flow y análisis de sensibilidad, evaluación de sostenibilidad de la transacción, presentación a riesgos y resolución de Q&A), seguimiento de las modificaciones legales necesarias en la documentación hasta su ejecución; o Revisión de actualizaciones anuales de rating de riesgo preparadas por el equipo de soporte administrativo, anticipación de posibles migraciones de riesgo; o Seguimiento diligente y proactivo del crédito mediante la revisión de todos los covenants financieros y desempeño operativo (por ejemplo, modelos financieros, ajustes proforma, drivers clave, etc.) y seguimiento del cumplimiento de covenants preparado por el equipo de soporte administrativo; o Evaluación de la operación en temas relacionados con el producto (incluyendo evaluación inicial de Leveraged Transaction); o Identificación y resolución de señales de alerta temprana, evaluación de Unlikely to Pay, evaluación de Forbearance, declaración de Default por deterioro de calidad crediticia., • Además, una persona en el rol de VP monitorizará e identificará desarrollos de mercado y gestionará proactivamente su posible impacto en la cartera mediante: o Preparación y mantenimiento de informes solicitados por reguladores o stakeholders internos; o Preparación de revisiones trimestrales de cartera para Credit Risk Management ("CRM"); o Mantenimiento de bases de datos / trackers del departamento e industria; o Mantenimiento de métricas internas de seguimiento de cartera; o Respuesta a solicitudes internas ad hoc sobre composición y exposición de cartera; o Coordinación y trabajo con equipos de soporte de cartera offshore; o Gestión de límites de préstamo y programas de Capital Velocity., • Una persona en el rol de VP participará activamente en los distintos Virtual Client Teams mediante: o Interacción con relationship managers y especialistas sectoriales para asegurar un diálogo activo sobre tendencias crediticias, retos y oportunidades para clientes individuales; o Contribución a la generación de ideas para oportunidades de cross-buy o de valor añadido para la clientela. ¿Quieres saber si este puesto está hecho para ti?
