Location: Vigo, Galicia, Spain (onsite / hybrid) Industry: Space Systems | Satellite Engineering | Power Electronics About the Role Our client, a leading European space technology company, is seeking an experienced Power Electronics Design Engineer to join their growing satellite engineering division. You will play a key role in the design, development, and qualification of advanced power subsystems for spacecraft platforms, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across systems, electrical, and mechanical engineering. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop DC-DC converters, power distribution units (PDUs), and battery management systems for satellite applications., • Perform schematic design, component selection, circuit simulation, and PCB layout reviews for space-grade power systems., • Conduct worst-case, thermal, and radiation analysis to ensure compliance with ESA and ECSS standards., • Support hardware testing, validation, and environmental qualification (thermal vacuum, vibration, EMC)., • Collaborate with systems engineers to define power budgets, interface requirements, and redundancy strategies ., • Generate and maintain technical documentation , test procedures, and design reports throughout the development lifecycle., • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field ., • 3+ years of experience in power electronics design —preferably within the aerospace, defense, or high-reliability sectors ., • Strong understanding of DC/DC converter topologies , power conditioning , and control loop design ., • Experience with SPICE simulation tools (LTspice, PLECS, etc.) and Altium Designer or similar CAD tools ., • Familiarity with ECSS or ESA standards , space-qualified components , and radiation effects mitigation techniques ., • Experience with FPGA-controlled power systems or digital power regulation ., • Knowledge of battery systems, solar array regulation, or EPS architectures for satellites., • Competitive salary and relocation package (if applicable). xcskxlj, • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge European satellite missions ., • Supportive, international engineering environment with career development pathways.
