Inputting of Data. Processing orders. Liaison with customers. Assisting with other procurement colleagues and NHS logistics. Carrying stock/files to and from the correct wards. Night Warehouse Operative. Kale & Damson is a privately owned fresh fruit, vegetable, salad, cheese and dairy company that operate out of Papworth Everard, CB23 3GY (a 20 to 30 minute drive from Cambridge, Bedford and Peterborough locations). We pride ourselves on providing local businesses, restaurants, hotels, pubs, colleges, schools and more in the surrounding area with quality produce and a great level of customer service. The role involves working in a chilled environment (roughly 5c to 7c) for which we do provide a uniform for all team members. You will be working within an experienced, high work ethic team of up to 40+ members, who are supportive and proactive in helping new members settle into the team. All members take a pride in their roles and as a team, which sets us apart as a strong operator in a highly competitive market. The pay begins at £9.00 per hour and rises to £9.25 per hour once the probationary period has passed. The probation period is typically 3 months, and should be easily achievable if an understanding of the role, strong work ethic, sense of team work and a general sense of care is demonstrated. Once you have passed the probationary period, you will also be entitled to further monthly bonus of up to £50. Main responsibility - picking fresh produce orders to high standards and ensuring goods are packed correctly to be sent out to local businesses and establishments in the area, wrapping pallets, nightly stock count and cleaning work area. Fork truck license is not a must, but would be an advantage .
