Our ecosystem includes Symbiotic Code (an AI coding agent for the terminal) and Symbiotic Flow (IDE extensions & Web dashboards). The Design team is currently a critical bottleneck, with strong demand on both the Product side (feature design) and the Marketing side (event and communication assets). The goal of this apprenticeship is to reduce that bottleneck while strengthening our user research practice. You won’t just be supporting the team, you’ll be an integral part of shaping how developers interact with AI every day. Your Mission Your time will be split roughly 80% on Product and 20% on Marketing/Brand support. 1. Product Design & Strategy • Contribute to product feature design: from problem discovery and clarifying needs to high-fidelity Figma prototypes., • Document decisions and rationale clearly and simply to maintain a "source of truth" in Notion., • Collaborate daily with Quentin (Product Designer), Alexis (PM), and our Engineering team. 2. Scrappy User Research • Help run continuous discovery to improve our products using standard workflows (interviews, surveys, workshops)., • Explore less conventional workflows (tests with vibe-coded prototypes, play around with data, etc.). 3. Marketing & Brand Support • Support marketing design needs by adapting existing designs to other formats or making small changes to existing templates for the Marketing stakeholders. Candidate Profile Must-have: • Strong, well-structured portfolio (required)., • Knowing the essentials of Figma for a company environment (using and managing component libraries, auto layouts, variables)., • Strong user research foundations, combined with the ability to stay flexible, not follow standard workflows “to the letter,” and experiment with less structured methods when needed., • As the product design role is evolving quickly, the team is actively exploring new workflows, including approaches that leverage LLMs., • Comfortable in a technical environment (understand what code “looks like” and collaborate with engineers)., • Ability to document clearly and simply. Nice-to-have: • First experience in a B2B SaaS or startup environment., • Exposure to cybersecurity or product analytics (PostHog, Amplitude)., • Familiarity with modern experimentation tools (Cursor, Windsurf, v0, Lovable). 💎 Why join Symbiotic? • Direct Impact: Your work will go into production for a highly technical and demanding audience., • AI-First Culture: We don't just use AI; we are redefining the design process through LLMs., • Mentorship: Direct access to the founding team and daily collaboration with Quentin to accelerate your growth., • Top-tier Gear: MacBook Pro and all the tools you need (Figma, AI subscriptions)., • Perks: Swile (meal vouchers), 50% transport coverage, and a great office at Morning Laffitte. 📅 Hiring Process No technical tests—we value your portfolio and your ability to talk through your past decisions. • Send your CV and portfolio, • Intro Call (30 min): With Blanche (Talent Acquisition)., • Portfolio Deep-dive (60 min): With Quentin (Product Designer)., • Team Lunch: Meet Edouard (CTO), Alexis (PM), and the team to see if the vibe fits.
