About the Role We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Cleaner to help keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors. Your work will play a vital part in maintaining a hygienic environment where learning can thrive. This behind‑the‑scenes role is essential to the smooth running of our school, and your attention to detail will make a meaningful difference every day. As a School Cleaner, you’ll work closely with the Site Manager and wider school team to carry out scheduled cleaning tasks, respond to ad hoc requests, and ensure all areas of the school meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety. Key Responsibilities • Clean and maintain classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal spaces., • Carry out additional or one‑off cleaning tasks as required., • Work flexibly around the school timetable, adapting to events and activities., • Use and store cleaning materials safely and in line with COSHH regulations., • Monitor cleaning supplies and report when stock needs replenishing., • Identify and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly., • Experience in cleaning, ideally within a school or similar environment., • Understanding of COSHH and safe cleaning procedures., • Ability to work independently and use initiative., • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards., • Punctual, reliable, and professional at all times., • A positive, team‑focused attitude. Crookhey Hall School is a Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) School which caters for boys and girls aged 10 - 17 years of age. Whilst we endeavour to keep the recruitment process as short as possible due to the nature of these important checks it may extend the processing time.
