Responsibilities:
- Overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Prepare and cook authentic Jamaican dishes, including jerk meats, curries, stews, and traditional side dishes.
- Manage kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with regulations.
- Assist with menu development, food costing, and inventory management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior cook in a Jamaican or Caribbean restaurant.
- Expertise in Jamaican cooking techniques, seasonings, and traditional ingredients.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Food hygiene and safety certification are key requirements.
