Position Summary:


The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards. This role includes food preparation, cooking, plating, and ensuring kitchen hygiene and food safety compliance at all times. 
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Assist in the preparation and mise en place of ingredients for service.
Ensure timely and consistent food production during service hours.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and proper storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Follow portion control, waste management, and cost control procedures.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Uphold the restaurant’s food presentation and quality standards.
Participate in cleaning duties and closing procedures as assigned.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a cook in a professional kitchen environment.
Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with good communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Culinary training or certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
