Operations Assistant - Bayuti - London

Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden London is seeking a confident and experienced Accounts Assistant to become part of our Team. You will report to the Assistant Residence Manager, supporting the property and centralised Finance team with bookeeping duties and administrative support. An Accounts Assistant is responsible for: Ensuring invoices and credit notes are raised and posted Processing invoices and reconciling Processing commission invoices from travel agents Requesting authorisations and raising discrepancies with the relevant person/department Being responsible for petty cash records and completion Reconciling credit card accounts Assisting the Finance Team with month end processes Preparing accruals and bad debt provisions Assisting with the timely and effective collection of all debts Participating in credit control meetings as required To be successful in the role of Accounts Assistant, we require: At least two years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping role, ideally within the hotel sector Completed or studying for a bookkeeping qualification such as AAT or other equivalent qualification A self-motivating attitude to work autonomously yet have a team orientated mindset Effective communication skills in written and spoken English Proficient level of numerical, administrative and IT Skills Experience with the Property Management System RMS is advantageous This is your opportunity to be part of our team as an Accounts Assistant. About Us Knights Hill Capital is a boutique mortgage brokerage based in London. We work with a wide range of clients and cases, from first-time buyers purchasing their first home through to experienced landlords with multi-million-pound property portfolios. Our work covers residential mortgages, buy-to-let and investment property finance, alongside protection for individuals and businesses. We are a small and growing firm, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working as part of a close-knit team and who genuinely enjoys the administrative and case-management side of mortgage advice. The Role We are looking for an experienced Mortgage & Protection Administrator. Experience in financial services is a big plus! This is very much an administration and case-management position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being organised, keeping on top of cases, dealing with clients and lenders, and making sure the administrative and compliance side of the business is handled properly. You will work closely with our mortgage brokers and take responsibility for the administration of cases from the initial stages through to mortgage offer and completion. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: • Liaising with clients to obtain the documents and information required for their mortgage application., • Reviewing and organising client documentation so cases are properly prepared for the broker to review., • Submitting Decisions in Principle and full mortgage applications to lenders based on the broker's advice and instructions., • Managing applications after submission, including dealing with lender requirements, outstanding documents and case updates., • Keeping clients informed and following up where further information or documentation is required., • Completing the required compliance administration for each case in line with our network's requirements and the broker's guidance., • Maintaining accurate and well-organised client records on our CRM and internal systems., • Submitting and progressing protection applications, including Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover and other personal or business protection products., • Liaising with lenders, insurers and other parties involved in a case where required., • Keeping on top of multiple cases at different stages and making sure nothing gets missed. What We're Looking For We are particularly looking for someone who is naturally organised and takes pride in good administration. You should be comfortable picking up the phone and speaking with clients, lenders and insurers, and confident using different systems throughout the working day. You will also need: • Strong attention to detail., • Good written and verbal communication skills., • Confidence dealing with clients over the telephone., • Experience using mortgage CRM systems and lender portals., • Experience submitting DIPs and mortgage applications., • A good understanding of mortgage compliance and file requirements., • Experience with protection applications and the associated administration and compliance., • Strong general IT skills., • The ability to manage your own workload and priorities., • A proactive approach to chasing outstanding information and progressing cases., • The ability to work independently while being part of a small team.
