About the Role We are seeking a committed and skilled SEN Teacher to join our team and deliver high-quality, personalised learning for pupils with a range of additional needs. You will play an integral role in shaping meaningful learning experiences that support pupils’ academic progress, emotional development, and overall wellbeing. Drawing on your Primary Teaching background, you will plan and deliver individual or small-group lessons that are creative, accessible, and aligned with the school’s curriculum. You will monitor progress closely, adapt teaching approaches, and actively contribute to whole-school development to continually enhance the quality of education provided. Working collaboratively with our multi-professional team, you will contribute to individual learning plans, behaviour support strategies, and classroom organisation to ensure every pupil has the best possible opportunity to succeed. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver individualised lessons for pupils with SEN, adapting teaching approaches to meet diverse needs, • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, contributing to whole-school initiatives and development plans, • Create, implement, and review IEPs, behaviour plans, and other personalised documents, • Organise classrooms to provide engaging, supportive learning environments that promote independence and confidence, • Work closely with LSAs, care staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support for pupils, • Promote pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development using positive behaviour strategies, • Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and safeguarding requirements Essential: • Primary Teacher degree, • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), • Experience working within an education setting, • Experience teaching in EYFS, • Experience using a multi-sensory approach to teaching Brick Lane School in East London is an independent school offering education for students aged 5 years to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of Autism.
