This is a field-based role carrying out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of heavy construction and plant machinery. Key Responsibilities of the Plant Fitter • Service, inspect and repair plant and construction machinery at customer sites, • Fault-find and repair diesel, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems, • Attend breakdowns on-site via shared on-call rota (standby and call-out pay included), • Complete job sheets, timesheets, and digital records accurately, • Work independently while coordinating with the parts and service team, • Help train or support junior technicians when required, • NVQ / SVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plant, Agricultural, Vehicle or Mechanical Engineering, • Experience with heavy plant, construction equipment or mobile machinery, • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics and fault finding, • Strong work ethic and time management able to work independently in the field, • Basic IT/computer skills for job reporting Apply now with your CV interviews are ongoing, and were happy to answer any questions before you commit.
