We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at a busy veterinary practice in the heart of the community. You will greet each client and offer support and guidance, managing payments and future bookings confidently. Ensuring that the client leaves knowing that they have received exceptional service and will look forward to their next visit. Coordinating the smooth running of the day-to-day routines of the practice will be done using our online booking system, so computer literacy is a must. Responsibilities: Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly manner Schedule appointments and manage the practice diary Answer phone calls and emails, and respond to queries efficiently Process payments for services rendered Maintain accurate client records in the practice management system Assist with administrative tasks as required Ensure the reception area is kept clean and organised Place and put away orders Skills: Previous experience in a veterinary practice is advantageous Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail Ability to multitask and work well under pressure Proficient in computing Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals Empathy and the ability to handle difficult situations Shifts alternate between 8.30am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 7.00pm on a rota basis, and Saturdays are 1 in 3, from 9.00am to 4.00pm. Support Worker – Luton (LU4 9AH) Salary: £13.35 per hour Location: Luton, Bedfordshire (Postcode LU4 9AH) Hours: Full Time As a Support Worker with ACS, you’ll play a vital role in providing compassionate, respectful key working support to residents in our Luton/Hitchen offices. Our aim is to provide safe and supportive accommodation for those with a trauma informed supportive plan to enable individuals to access appropriate support and build a pathway into more permanent accommodation. You’ll be trained to offer practical, emotional, and social support—building trust, reinforcing independence, and ensuring clients feel seen and valued. Key Responsibilities Provide accommodation, support and manage a caseload of individuals who are identified of needing support with various issues and complex needs Key working an allocation of service users from initial assessment, creating a personal outcome plan, reviewing the plan whilst working towards tangible move-on options Support individual needs on a proactive and flexible basis, with a focus on fostering independence Coordinating referrals for new service users. This may include attending local housing panels and professionals' meetings Work with internal and external partners, including, probation services, outreach teams, local authority housing teams and other community-based support providers and agencies Recording all service user contact including updating personal outcome plans, resettlement plans, contact details and risks as necessary Document daily observations and dynamics to inform ongoing care Create robust risk assessments to manage any safeguarding factors in relation to an individual’s needs Attend regular training This post may require working outside normal office hours sometimes, to ensure our commitment to safeguarding Essential Qualities & Skills Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, Care certificate preferred IT literate in relevant computer systems to include full Microsoft Office Suite Understanding and practical application regarding safe guarding, social care, housing, mental health, learning disabilities and criminal justice Ability to maintain accurate records, write effective reports and manage bespoke computer software packages Proven ability to form professional and effective relationships Commitment to respect diversity with a high standard of integrity and fairness.
