Sales Director – Data & AI (SaaS + Services) – Hybrid – Fortnightly in Luton Base Salary: £70,000–£100,000 (flexible up to £120,000 for exceptional candidates) OTE: Uncapped – 100% of base | Enterprise AI | SaaS + Services We are partnering with a high-growth Data & AI organisation to appoint a Sales Director to lead and scale their AI software sales capability, selling a market-ready AI SaaS product alongside high-value Data & AI services. This is a software-led role, ideal for a commercially sharp AI / enterprise software sales professional who can lead with product, sell consultatively, and pull services through as part of a broader enterprise solution. If you’re comfortable selling AI as a product and AI as a service, and thrive in complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales, this is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible, high-impact role. The Opportunity You will take ownership of new business growth across enterprise customers, with a clear emphasis on AI SaaS sales, supported by professional and managed services. A healthy volume of qualified leads is generated, but success in this role depends on your ability to shape opportunities, qualify rigorously, build senior relationships, and lead sophisticated consultative sales cycles. Key responsibilities include: • Owning and scaling the AI software sales motion, effectively heading up that division, • Selling a commercial AI SaaS product, supported by Data & AI services, • Converting inbound interest into high-value enterprise opportunities, • Building trusted, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders, • Leading complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers (12-18 months sales cycle), • Clearly articulating business value (ROI, cost reduction, risk mitigation), • Working closely with product, technical and delivery teams to shape solutions Core Capabilities • Consultative Solution Selling – uncovering complex data, AI, or operational challenges, • Enterprise Sales Execution – long cycles, large deal values, multiple stakeholders, • Value-Based Storytelling – linking technology to commercial and operational outcomes, • Technical Curiosity – able to explain AI concepts clearly to non-technical buyers, • Relationship Development – nurturing accounts from qualification through to long-term partnership, • Stakeholder Alignment – Selling to Data & IT leaders (CDO, CTO, CIO, CISO, Heads of Data/Data Governance) Relevant Backgrounds Strong alignment with candidates coming from: Enterprise Software / Platforms: Data management, governance, security, search, analytics, AI or cloud platforms Consulting / Services Organisations: Those selling complex, technology-led solutions into enterprise or regulated environments (Specific company names intentionally omitted due to the confidential nature of this search.)
