We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Staff to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to customers, preparing food items, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous fish and chip take away and kitchen experience is essential. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food preparation and customer service. Responsibilities • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, • Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring presentation meets quality standards, • Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system with accuracy, • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and surrounding workspace, • Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales, • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards, • Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels, • Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times, • Provide excellent customer service by addressing queries and resolving issues promptly Qualifications • Previous experience in food service environment is preferred, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively, • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately, • Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy, • Good time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy shifts, • Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximise sales opportunities We value team players who are eager to learn and contribute positively to our team.
