Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year Job description: About the Role We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead and coordinate fulfilment operations within our clients busy warehouse. You will be responsible for managing a team of supervisors and operatives, ensuring that all customer orders are processed accurately, safely, and on time, while driving continuous improvement and maintaining high operational standards. Shifts- 6am until 2pm and 2pm until 10pm rotating Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day operations for your shift, ensuring all fulfilment targets (pick, pack, dispatch) are achieved. Supervise and support a team of [20-40] colleagues, FLT Drivers, warehouse operatives, and agency staff. Monitor performance, set clear expectations, and deliver regular feedback and coaching. Ensure compliance with health & safety, company policies, and legal requirements. Drive efficiency across processes such as goods-in, storage, order processing, and outbound logistics. Work closely with other shift managers and departments to ensure seamless handovers and consistent service. Analyse operational data (KPIs, productivity, quality, absence, etc.) and implement improvements. Manage staffing levels and rota planning to meet fluctuating demand. Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture focused on teamwork and accountability. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or fulfilment management role (shift/team management level). Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Good knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office. Strong understanding of Health & Safety and compliance within warehousing/logistics. Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern (days/nights/weekends as required).
