This role is working a 4 on 4 off rotation days/nights shift pattern – 5.45am-6pm/5.45pm-6am Main Purpose: • Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through leadership of the shift team., • Optimise production performance through supervision and co-ordination of the shift team to ensure that production targets are achieved in accordance with standard operating procedures., • Support the Production Manager and Engineering Manager with regular communication and clear handovers to ensure continuous improvement and continuity between shifts. Responsibilities: • Deliver the production plan to the team through daily briefs., • Lead the production shift with clear priorities around health & safety performance and quality. Develop and encourage team members to achieve the business goals., • Develop an environment for continuous improvement throughout the shift, reporting progress and track improvements., • Ensure all equipment is operated safely, with maximum efficiency, to the highest quality supported by quality and maintenance department scheduling., • Maintain and record stock levels for production consumables., • Support initiatives to ensure minimal waste and improve housekeeping during production., • Ensure team adhere to SOPs, minimise variability and Seek out SOP improvements. Person Specification: • Essential FLT Licence – counterbalance., • Train the trainer - desirable 360’ crane – desirable., • Telehandlers - desirable. Required Knowledge: • Production Leadership background – 12 months minimum., • Demonstrated ability to follow preventative maintenance plans in a production environment., • PLC driving automated processes., • Computer skills with an understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook.
