Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role combining on-site customer support with office-based technical work. This position involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment at customer locations, as well as supporting internal operations, documentation, and planning when office-based. Field-Based Duties • Install, commission, and service equipment at customer sites, • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs in a timely manner, • Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades, • Provide on-site technical support and training to customers, • Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations, • Complete service reports and documentation after visitsOffice-Based Duties, • Provide remote technical support to customers and colleagues, • Prepare reports, service documentation, and maintenance records, • Assist with scheduling, planning, and parts coordination, • Support continuous improvement initiatives and product feedback, • Liaise with engineering, sales, and customer service teamsEssential Requirements, • Proven experience in a field service, maintenance, or similar engineering role, • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills (mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical), • Full UK driving licence, • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, • Strong communication and customer-facing skills, • Based locally and able to travel regularly to customer sitesDesirable, • Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent), • Experience with [insert specific equipment, systems, or industry], • Familiarity xrnqpay with service management software or reporting toolsWorking Pattern, • Hybrid role: split between field-based work and office presence, • Regular travel to customer sites (primarily within UK & Ireland), • Office days for planning, reporting, and team collaborationWhat We Offer, • Competitive salary, • Tools, laptop, and mobile phone, • Training and development opportunities
