The commitment to developing the team has been demonstrated by internal promotions. \n Following a sustained period of growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented practice Senior Accountant to join their friendly, ambitious, and technically strong team. \n This role offers far more than the traditional practice position as the firm sees this developing into a senior leadership role in time. \n You'll become a trusted advisor to a varied portfolio of clients, providing valuable commercial insight and building meaningful relationships while working in a firm where your expertise, ideas, and contribution are genuinely recognised. \n If you're looking for a role that combines technical accounting with client interaction, career progression, and variety, this could be the perfect next step. \n As a senior Accountant, reporting directly to the Partners, you'll play a pivotal role in building strong relationships with, and delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors. Your responsibilities will include: \n\n • Acting as a trusted business partner to clients, providing practical accounting, taxation, and business advisory support.\n, • Preparing year-end accounts, corporation and self-assessment tax with VAT returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with FRS 102 Section 1A.\n, • Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior members of the team.\n, • Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and legislation.\n, • Assisting with payroll and audit assignments when required.\n\n To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: \n\n • ACA or ACCA qualification trained in practice, working to UK regulations.\n, • Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation under FRS 102 Section 1A.\n, • Good working knowledge of VAT, with payroll experience being advantageous.\n, • Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks,\n, • Excellent organisation and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.\n, • Strong client-facing and relationship management abilities.\n, • A positive, collaborative approach with a genuine desire to support colleagues.\n\n Why Join This Firm? \n Join a well-established and highly respected independent practice that genuinely invests in its people.
