Managing Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: South West Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + package Contract: Permanent preferred | Freelance considered (£500 per day CIS) Hybrid Working: 4 days office/site | 1 days home The Opportunity We're working with a well-established Tier 1 Civil Engineering contractor that has secured a significant pipeline of long-term infrastructure work across the South West. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This opportunity would suit an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor or a Senior Quantity Surveyor who's ready to take the next step. The long-term plan is to recruit permanently, however the business understands how challenging the current market is and is happy to consider experienced freelance professionals on a CIS basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role if that's something you'd be interested in. You'll be joining a busy commercial team delivering major infrastructure projects under NEC contracts, with long-term secured work and genuine opportunities to progress. The Role You'll be responsible for the commercial management of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects, working closely with the Commercial Manager, operational teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery. Key responsibilities include: Managing the commercial performance of infrastructure projects NEC3 and NEC4 contract administration Cost reporting, forecasting and commercial management Managing valuations, compensation events, variations and final accounts Procurement and subcontract management Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery What We're Looking For Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure Strong NEC3 or NEC4 contract knowledge Experience with cost reporting, forecasting and commercial management Good client-facing and stakeholder management skills Managing Quantity Surveyors or ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyors looking to make the step up are encouraged to apply What's On Offer £70,000 - £85,000 plus package Freelance option available at £500 per day CIS Genuine opportunity for freelance professionals to move into a permanent role Long-term workload across secured infrastructure frameworks Clear progression into senior commercial leadership positions Stable business with an excellent pipeline of future work If you are interested in the role above, please apply directly or send your CV to Ganymede is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
