Site Agent – Civils Infrastructure Project Location: Newcastle Salary: Competitive + package Permanent / Freelance options available We are currently looking for an experienced Site Agent to join the delivery team on a major civils infrastructure project in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects, looking to take responsibility for the successful delivery of site activities. The Role As Site Agent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of works on site, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include: Managing site operations and coordinating subcontractors and site teams. Planning and sequencing works to meet programme requirements. Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with RAMS and project specifications. Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance. Working closely with the Project Manager, engineers and commercial team. Monitoring progress and reporting against programme. Managing site records, inspections and quality documentation. Relevant industry qualifications, with SMSTS and a suitable site safety qualification expected. CSCS or equivalent industry certification. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finishing professional to take responsibility for the final stages of a major residential development, ensuring apartments and communal areas are completed to a high standard and handed over in line with programme requirements. The Role As Finishing Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the finishing trades across the development, driving quality, progress and timely completion. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the finishing stages of a high-rise residential construction project. Coordinating subcontractors and finishing trades across multiple floors and areas. Monitoring progress against programme and driving the completion of outstanding works. Ensuring apartments, communal areas and associated works are completed to the required quality standards. Managing snagging, inspections and the close-out of defects. Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors to resolve issues efficiently. Maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality and housekeeping. Supporting the successful handover of completed areas. About You The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on high-rise residential or similar large-scale construction schemes. Strong knowledge of finishing trades, including internal fit-out and apartment completion. Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple finishing packages. A strong eye for detail, quality and snagging. The ability to drive progress and work to demanding deadlines. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
