Garment Technologist Role at Thrivin Mid-Level | Remote | 4 Days per Week At THRIVIN, we don’t make average gymwear. We build performance-driven pieces designed to sculpt, move, and dominate in the gym, without compromising on quality or accessibility. We are looking for a mid-level Garment Technologist who can take ownership of fit and quality execution across collections. Someone structured, detail-obsessed, and confident working directly with factories. This is not a senior leadership role, but it is not junior. You will be expected to manage your workflow independently. • What You’ll Be Responsible For, • Running weekly fit sessions across multiple sizes, • Owning fit comments and ensuring they are clear, concise and actionable, • Reviewing tech packs with designers to ensure construction accuracy, • Checking graded specs and advising on corrections before sampling, • Managing the sealing process and flagging delays early, • Liaising directly with factories (UK + Far East), • Reviewing fabric and construction standards for performance and durability, • Reviewing lab test reports and highlighting risk areas, • Ensuring all products comply with REACH legislation, • Working closely with design, buying and merchandising teams, • Partnering with QC on bulk inspections and resolving issues fast, • Maintaining and elevating Thrivin’s fit and quality standards, • What We’re Looking For, • 3–5+ years experience within activewear, lingerie, or performance apparel, • Strong knowledge of circular knit and soft bra construction, • Confident reviewing graded specs and test reports, • Comfortable communicating directly with overseas factories, • Highly organised and detail-oriented, • Proactive problem solver, you don’t wait to be told, • Comfortable working remotely and managing your own schedule, • Fluent in technical garment terminology Bonus: • Factory experience, • Sustainability knowledge, • Experience scaling fast-moving collections, • The Type of Person Who Will Thrive Here You: • Notice when a garment is 1cm off., • Care deeply about fit precision., • Push back on factories when standards slip., • Understand gymwear is performance product — not just fashion., • Want to build something big., • Structure, • 4 days per week, • Remote, • Competitive freelance day rate (based on experience)
