Lead E&I Engineer Newcastle Upon Tyne Salary: up to £65,000 basic + benefits Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a leading engineering consultancy to bring a Lead E&I Engineer to take ownership of Electrical & Instrumentation delivery across complex engineering projects. This is a permanent, full time on site role based in Newcastle. Lead E&i Engineer Key Responsibilities: • Lead the delivery of the E&I scope to agreed time, cost, and quality targets, • Provide technical and people leadership to E&I engineers and designers, • Own E&I engineering schedules, deliverables, and progress reporting, • Manage E&I manhour budgets, resourcing levels, and workload planning, • Ensure all E&I designs comply with legislation, industry standards, and client specifications, • Control and manage scope change in line with formal change management procedures, • Maintain technical integrity and accuracy across all E&I deliverables, • Participate in and contribute to HAZID, HAZOP, safety, and design reviews, • Provide guidance on hazardous area installations, including ATEX compliance, • Ensure all documentation is checked and approved in line with company procedures, • Support tendering activities, including scope definition and CTR generation, • Coach and develop Engineers, Graduates, and Trainees within the discipline Lead E&I Engineer Key Requirements: • HNC or higher in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering, • Significant experience delivering E&I engineering on Oil & Gas brownfield projects (Feasibility, Concept, FEED, EPC), • Proven experience leading E&I engineering teams on projects, • Strong working knowledge of industry codes, standards, and legislation, • Experience with manhour control, cost awareness, and change management, • Solid understanding of hazardous area design and ATEX directives, • Experience contributing to HAZOP, HAZID, and constructability reviews, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, • Strong commercial awareness and ability to operate at project leadership level Desirable • Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering, • Chartered status (CEng / MIET), • SIL experience, • Offshore experience and/or offshore survey exposure, • BOSIET certification If you are interested in this opportunity please contact Eleni at 07415558839 or
