Sous Chef | Prestigious Private Members Golf Club | Richmond, Surrey | £40,000 One of Surrey's most prestigious private members' golf clubs is looking for a talented Sous Chef to become a key member of its established kitchen brigade. Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll primarily oversee the busy Buttery Kitchen while supporting the wider food operation, including member dining, golf days, weddings and private events. With significant investment planned into the food offering, this is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys developing menus, mentoring teams and making a real impact. The Role Lead the day-to-day operation of the Buttery Kitchen Support the Head Chef across all food outlets Supervise and develop a brigade of 10 chefs Assist with seasonal menu development Deliver high-quality food for members and events Manage stock, ordering and GP Maintain excellent HACCP and food safety standards Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence About the Operation Prestigious Private Members Golf Club Brigade of 10 chefs 4 chefs based within the Buttery Kitchen Busy daytime operation with member dining, golf days and private functions Opportunity to develop and improve the existing food offer Kitchen Hours Sunday - Thursday 7:00am - 6:00pm Friday & Saturday 7:00am - 8:00pm Working on a mixture of early and late shifts. We're Looking For Current Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous/Senior Chef de Partie ready for the next step Strong fresh food background Excellent leadership skills Experience mentoring junior chefs HACCP knowledge Calm under pressure Passion for developing menus and improving standards Experience within a private members club, hotel or golf club would be advantageous but isn't essential.
