Job Opportunity: Domestic Gas Engineer Location: LU Postcode Sector: Social Housing / Housing Association Position: Qualified Domestic Gas Engineer Example Recruitment Group is currently working with a well-established national heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. They are seeking a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the LU postcode area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Housing Association contract. Key Responsibilities: • Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR), • Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems, • Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care, • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records Requirements: • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with gas qualifications, • Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills, • In-date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1, • Full UK driving licence, • No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment) Salary & Benefits: • 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), • Additional overtime and weekend work available at enhanced rates, • Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided, • Salary: £38,000 rising to £40,000 per year after probation, • Out-of-hours call-out rota (1 week in 4), • OTE £50,000+ per annum, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, • Pension scheme To apply for this role, please submit an up-to-date CV, and one of our team members will be in touch.
