Your role requires you to execute repairs to the highest standards while conducting in-depth engineering work and diagnostics. You should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit team. Its crucial that all repairs are performed in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation and company policies. Additionally, you will need to safely operate all relevant equipment, machines, and tools, and complete all associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Key Skills & Knowledge The ideal candidate should hold education to City & Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering or possess an equivalent engineering discipline. Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic in a similar role is essential. While it is preferable to hold an HGV C+E licence (Class 1) and a current ADR, these are not mandatory. You should demonstrate a strong working knowledge of vehicles, trailers, workshop plant, and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems. The role requires someone who can multitask, meet key deadlines, and exhibit rigorous fault-finding skills. You should be capable of working independently as well as part of a team, showcasing strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
