• Chef Manager * Market-leading contract caterer * Primary school site * Monday to Friday only (39 Weeks + 4.8 Weeks Holiday) * West London * £33,507 per annum (term-time contract) We are recruiting a Chef Manager to lead a busy primary school kitchen, including responsibility for after-school club catering. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a chef who is passionate about fresh, seasonal food and enjoys managing people, standards, and service delivery in an education setting. The Chef Manager will be responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the school kitchen, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals prepared using fresh, seasonal ingredients. You will lead, train, and motivate the catering team, plan compliant menus in line with nutritional guidelines, manage stock ordering and control, and oversee kitchen budgets. The role also involves maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety, delivering catering for after-school club provision, and acting as the main point of contact for on-site stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Chef Manager or similar leadership role, with strong craft skills and a genuine passion for fresh food. You will have a solid understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements, be confident in leading and developing teams, and possess excellent organisational and time management skills. Experience in stock ordering, stock control, and kitchen administration is essential, and an NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent qualification is desirable.
