This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional Housekeeper looking for a long-term role within a warm, respectful and well-run household where staff retention is excellent and employees are genuinely valued. The family enjoys entertaining and hosting guests throughout the year and is seeking a discreet, proactive and highly organised Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining impeccable standards.The Role Working alongside an established team, including a live-in Chef and another Live-in Housekeeper, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the afternoon and evening housekeeping shift. • Approximately 2:00pm-8:00pm daily (with flexibility to 10:00pm when entertaining), • 6 days per week when the family are in residence, • Reduced schedule of 4 days per week when the family are travelling (approximately 4 months of the year) Key Responsibilities • Full housekeeping duties to an exceptionally high standard, • Daily cleaning and upkeep of all living areas, • Routine bathroom servicing and presentation throughout the day, • Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management, • Care of fine furnishings, silverware and artwork, • Assisting the principal with packing and unpacking, • Supporting the household during entertaining and dinner service, • Working closely with the live-in Chef to ensure smooth household operations, • Maintaining organisation, cleanliness and presentation across the property The Household • Large family home in Maida Vale, • Four-bedroom property (typically only two bedrooms regularly occupied), • One well-behaved Golden Retriever and one cat, • Additional household support including a gardener and overnight security, • Excellent staff longevity and a positive working environment Candidate Profile • Proven experience working within long-term private household positions, • Available immediately, • Meticulous housekeeping standards and strong attention to detail, • Trustworthy, discreet and professional at all times, • Calm, hardworking and highly organised, • Able to work independently and use initiative, • Comfortable around pets, • Flexible approach when the family are entertaining, • Strong, checkable private household references essential This role would suit a polished and experienced Housekeeper who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and is seeking a stable, long-term position within a respectful and welcoming household.
