You will help ensure high‑quality information flows into the team, risks are identified and managed, and processes are continuously reviewed and improved to meet changing demand. The role has a direct impact on service flow, provider engagement, financial assurance, and outcomes for people using services. By strengthening practice, supporting teams, and working collaboratively across the system, the Lead Broker helps the organisation deliver person‑centred services while maintaining robust governance, transparency, and value for money. About you You will have experience in adult social care brokerage, commissioning, or a related operational environment you will understand how timely, high‑quality brokerage supports positive outcomes, system flow, and value for money. You will be able to work confidently with colleagues, providers, and partner organisations to coordinate activity and resolve issues and you will be comfortable working within agreed processes, ensuring compliance, financial oversight, and accurate record‑keeping. You will have the ability to analyse information, identify risks, and use insight to support service delivery and improvement. You will be someone who wants to contribute to business process improvements that strengthen quality, consistency, and service resilience and will be a confident communicator, clearly and professionally, providing updates and escalating concerns appropriately. You will have an organised approach, be able to manage competing priorities and support others when required and you will be committed to delivering person‑centred, inclusive, and responsive services aligned with council values.
