Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Laboratory Customer Service professional to join our busy service centre based in Central London.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nThis role sits at the heart of our laboratory service operation. You’ll be the main point of contact for patients, GP surgeries, hospitals, laboratories, and internal support teams, ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently, professionally, and with care.\n\nThe work is varied and rewarding, combining inbound and outbound telephone calls, electronic communication, and essential administration throughout the day.\n\nSalary: £28,808 per annum.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProviding high‑quality customer support to patients and healthcare professionals\nHandling both simple and complex enquiries via phone and electronic channels\nCommunicating clearly with laboratories, clinicians, and internal departments\nUsing your science background to explain information in an accessible way\nManaging administration tasks accurately alongside a high volume of calls\nEnsuring each interaction reflects excellent customer service standards\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nA Biomedical degree graduate or equivalent which is essential\nExperience working in a busy service centre or contact centre environment\nConfidence handling high volumes of telephone calls alongside admin work\nExcellent verbal and written English communication skills\nAbility to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively\nDegree educated, ideally in a science subject (biological sciences particularly beneficial)\nComfortable working as part of a large, collaborative team (around 30 staff)\nProficient in using multiple systems and the Microsoft Office suite\n\nWorking Pattern & Location\n\nFull‑time: 40 hours per week\nShifts between 07:00 and 23:00, Monday to Friday\nFlexibility required to work:\n\nSaturdays: 07:00–23:00\nSundays: 09:00–18:00\nBank Holidays: 09:00–17:30\n\nWeekend and Bank Holiday shifts are paid as overtime\nHybrid working: office‑based in Central London, with weekends and Bank Holidays worked from home\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nJoin a global leader in pathology and diagnostics\nPlay a vital role supporting healthcare services and patient outcomes\nHybrid working with paid overtime for unsocial hours\nSupportive, professional team environment\nIf you enjoy helping people, thrive in a busy environment, and want to apply your science background in a customer‑focused role, we’d love to hear from you.\n\nApply now to join our Laboratory Customer Service team
