You will benefit from being with an independent, close-knit culture where teamwork, collaboration and individual contributions are truly recognised. \n You'll work with a diverse portfolio of clients that would typically be found within larger national firms, whilst benefiting from the personal, innovative and client-focused approach that sets this practice apart. \n This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys client interaction, cloud accounting technology, advisory work and building long-term professional relationships. \n As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients maintain the firms’ high level of service. Your role will include: \n\n • Preparing management accounts and bespoke client reporting *\n, • Producing year-end statutory accounts and supporting working papers *\n, • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, including liaising with HMRC where required\n, • Processing and reviewing bookkeeping using cloud-based accounting software\n, • Preparing and reviewing corporation and personal tax computations and returns *\n, • Building strong client relationships, acting as trusted adviser, key point of contact.\n, • Identifying opportunities to provide additional support and services to clients\n, • Mentoring and supporting junior accountants within the team\n\n, • These can be taught if you possess solid experience in other areas \n We're looking for someone who combines solid technical accounting knowledge with excellent systems skills and a proactive, client-focused approach. \n You'll ideally have: \n\n • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualification, or be qualified by experience\n, • Experience within a UK accountancy practice environment either current or past\n, • Experience preparing management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns and corporation tax returns – one can be taught if you demonstrate strong knowledge in other areas.\n, • Excellent knowledge of cloud accounting systems with proven experience using systems such as Xero, Iris and Dext (essential)\n, • Strong organisational and communication skills\n, • The confidence to manage client relationships and provide practical commercial advice\n, • Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members\n\n As well as working in a high calibre team, for a highly reputable company you'll receive: \n\n • A competitive salary reflecting your experience and expertise\n, • Genuine career progression opportunities\n, • A supportive and collaborative working culture\n, • Modern systems and technology-driven processes\n, • A highly extensive benefits package\n, • The opportunity to join a firm that truly values its people\n\n If you're looking for a Senior Accountant position where your expertise will be recognised, your career can progress, and you'll work alongside a genuinely supportive team, we'd love to hear from you. \n Apply now or contact Natalie Harden at Reed for a confidential discussion and a faster response. \n
