Facilities Engineer – Oldham – Days and nights shift pattern Bluegate is on the lookout for a Facilities Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team within a manufacturing facility in Oldham. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping the plant running smoothly – responding to alarms, fixing breakdowns, and ensuring the systems stay in peak condition, all day, every day. Responsibilities: • Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs across plant and equipment, • Ensure the delivery of high purity water to our manufacturing operations, • Monitor and maintain Gas Detection and BMS systems, • Keep cooling, compressed air, vacuum, gas, effluent, and electrical systems in top shape, • Provide rapid, effective response to emergencies and plant issues Essential Requirements: • NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services, • Facilities Maintenance experience, • Solid knowledge of H&V plant and water systems, • Great at diagnosing faults and working under pressure, • Mechanically biased, with a keen eye for safety, • Ideally have 18th Edition, IPAF, City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical, • Desirable, HVAC, clean room, or chemical plant experience, • Understanding of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics If you have previously worked as a Facilities Maintenance Technician or Engineer and are happy to work on a shift pattern that includes days and nights, then this could be for you.
