Morson is partnering with the UK's leading Defence Manufacturer to recruit a CMM Programmer to join their team at the Warton site. • 12-month contract, • £24.78 per hour (PAYE) or £33.24 per hour (Umbrella), • Full-time, on-site role, • BPSS clearance with SC in progress, • Inside IR35 Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will undertake a range of tasks aligned with the level of this role, including but not limited to: • Possessing a minimum of an HNC or recognised apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering., • Demonstrating strong knowledge and experience of fundamental manufacturing processes and engineering principles., • Experience in machining-related manufacturing processes., • Proficiency with Engineering Toolsets such as CATIA V5, PLM (or equivalent Product Data Management systems), SAP CAM, SFM (Shop Floor Manager), CDP, and VAS., • Basic operation of CATIA V5 and Siemens NX LK CAMIO Inspection or equivalent, including Siemens DPV., • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ISO and ASME standards., • Proven ability to manage development and implementation activities effectively., • Competence in managing projects within cost and schedule constraints., • Capability to respond to unplanned events and meet tight deadlines., • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels. Knowledge • In-depth understanding of machining manufacturing processes and inspection techniques., • Proficient computer skills, including standard office software packages., • Familiarity with Engineering Toolsets such as NX, CATIA V5, PLM (or equivalent Product Data Management systems), SAP CAM, SFM, CDP, and VAS. Skills • Experience with LK CAMIO and Siemens Dimensional Planning Verification (DPV)., • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) based on ISO and ASME standards., • Detailed manufacturing experience within the aerospace industry or equivalent high-standard sectors is advantageous., • Ability to manage unforeseen events and work effectively under pressure., • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication across multiple organisational levels. Qualifications • Engineering Degree, HNC/HND, or recognised apprenticeship, with substantial experience in the aerospace or equivalent industry.
