Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Driver to join our team for same day courier work. As an Owner Van Driver, you will be responsible for biding for your own jobs on our Courier Exchange platform, transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy driving and want to be their own boss.
Duties: - Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials, small vans up to Luton vans. - Load and unload cargo as needed, which may require heavy lifting - Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods - Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance - Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Experience: - Familiarity with motorways is preferred - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Note: This position requires a valid driver's license, courier insurance and goods in transit insurance.
