Key Responsibilities - Provide legal advice and support on regulatory, licensing and disciplinary matters within the sport. - Represent GBGB in hearings. - Liaise with Disciplinary Committee on listing of hearings. - Draft legal documents, reports, and case summaries. - Able to take witness statements and assess evidence. Charge drafting experience helpful. - Liaise with internal teams, external counsel, regulatory and other external bodies. - Ensure compliance with GBGB’s Rules of Racing and welfare regulations. - Assist in reviewing and improving regulatory policies and procedures. - To oversee the Documents, Data and Controls Procedure, updating as and when necessary. Key Requirements - Qualified solicitor or barrister with a valid practicing certificate. - Experience in regulatory, sports, or administrative law. - Strong advocacy skills with experience representing clients in hearings or tribunals. - Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Strong administrative and organisational skills. - Role requires ability to use Word, Teams, Excel.
