This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis and we have a variety of shift patterns including days (between 04:00 - 07:00 starts) and Nights (between 16:00 - 19:00 starts) available working any 5 days from 7. Weekend work may be required depending on demand.Pay Rates:We have increased our pay rates , with rates now ranging from £15.15 to £18.96 per hour , depending on shift giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.Mon-Fri Days - £15.15per hourMon-Fri Night Shift - £16.35per hourSaturday and Sunday Day Shift - £18.15per hourSaturday and Sunday Night Shift - £18.65per hourBank Holidays - £18.96per hour.On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance, and £25 per night out tax-free allowance (if applicable)Driver Responsibilities:General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and StoresCollections from Stores to load out toDistribution CentresSupporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cagesTrunking Opportunities available depending on availabilityCompleting all necessary vehicle checks and documentationMaintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalismWorking closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operationsAdhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.Qualifications You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers)No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.Understand and able to comply with Drivers hours and WTD legislation.Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.Excellent communication skills.Additional Information As part of our drive to make Stobarta great place to work.
