Help Scotland be represented. As a Field Interviewer, you’ll engage with individuals in your local area, conducting in-home research interviews on vital issues such as health, housing, transport, and everyday life. This role is all about listening, not selling. You’ll represent a trusted research organization in your community, ensuring that the realities of life in Scotland are reflected in the decisions that affect services, funding, and policy. \n People you visit will usually have been contacted in advance, making it easier for them to share their perspectives with warmth, respect, and attentive listening. Travel is a key part of the role, so you should be comfortable moving throughout your assigned area. Some projects may require longer journeys and occasional overnight stays, but don’t worry—paid travel time is available on most projects, along with a mileage allowance. \n Using a NatCen device, you’ll guide thoughtful, respectful conversations and accurately record responses.
