Mental Health Recovery Worker - Chadwick Fields, Cheshire Working Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week, based on a rota basis including weekends Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £25,867 - £28,930 per annum Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. About the Service : The Chadwick Fields Service delivers low level floating support Monday Sunday during the hours of 9am -5pm. The time of support is flexible to the needs of the client. If a tenant is in crisis outside of these hours, then they are signposted to external agencies such as the Mental Health Crisis Line, present to A&E, the Crisis Team. Tenants are given details of external organisations such as the Samaritans, Togetherall, Calm App when they are taken on into Chadwick Fields. About the Role: The range of support provided includes but is not limited to the following: - Support to sign up to a Muir tenancy. Due to being an Independent Living service housing benefit may either be sourced through housing benefit or housing costs if on Universal Credit. Support to set up utility bills, gas, water, electric, tv and council tax. Build on tenants current strengths and provide appropriate tailored support to maintain their mental health including emotional support, monitoring their mental health and providing practical assistance by maintaining key working relationships with Care Co-ordinators, Social Workers, Care Managers and Carers where appropriate. Working with Care Co-ordinators/Care Managers and other agencies and individuals who are important factors in their life to ensure that appropriate, achievable and outcome-focused support plan is in place. To provide support including housing advice and advice about tenants responsibilities and the implications of breaching them, to ensure that tenants develop the skills and knowledge that will enable them to sustain permanent accommodation in the community. To provide support that will support individuals to develop healthy and safe lifestyles. To work with tenants to ensure that positive relationships with other individuals and the wider community are developed and maintained including conflict resolution. Support to reconnect and build positive relationships at service level and where requested and appropriate family and friends. Support and assist tenants to access resources and/or activities that will help to achieve the overall aims of the service and will enable them to meet their identified individual outcomes. Support to reconnect and build positives relationships at service level, within the community and where requested and appropriate family and friends. Support to identify, apply and attend any courses to enhance wellbeing, employment and basic skill needs. Support to identify, apply and attend any employment opportunities, paid or voluntary. Support to maximise health and wellbeing book and attend appointments such as GP, dentist, CMHT and were necessary to order and oversee medication. Organise and facilitate activities such as walking groups, cinema groups, activity days. Encourage involvement in the running of Waythrough as an organisation through promoting coproduction at every opportunity (national service user events, recruitment and selection involvement, peer mentoring etc.) Provide a person-centred holistic recovery focussed approach. Support with day-to-day skills to help the tenant sustain their accommodation. About You: Like us, you are keen to break down the stigma of mental health. Youll bring all your skills to the table, including strong customer service and communication skills, but also your empathetic, flexible, creative and compassionate nature and enthusiasm for supporting others. Youll thrive under pressure, be happy to work both independently and within a team and know how to connect with people at all levels and really enjoy helping others. No formal qualifications required as full training will be provided. If you have the skills and qualities listed above, we want to hear from you. Whatever your background, youll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties, which may include evenings, weekends and nights.
