Location: Life Balance Chiropractic, Poole, Dorset Salary: £35K -£40k base + quarterly performance bonus + annual leadership profit share Target earnings £42,000–£48,000, with £50,000+ total earnings possible for exceptional profitable performance. Hours: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role that combines set core hours with specific frontline shift coverage. For your core hours, you can choose from three set shifts: 07:40–16:40, 08:00–17:00, or 08:30–17:30. Your week will also include three frontline shifts, typically two mornings and one afternoon/evening—which run from either 07:40–12:20 or 13:40–19:45. While your schedule is structured around these times, you will need to provide additional cover when required. Team Size: 12+ and growing Experience: Ideally 5+ years leading and managing teams, with strong people and operational leadership experience. No chiropractic or healthcare experience required. This isn’t a conventional Practice Manager role We’re looking for a people‑first operator and Integrator. The steady hand, the builder, the one who brings clarity, connection, consistency. Someone who can lead a team, understand the numbers, turn priorities into action, and still happily answer the phone, follow up with a potential new client or welcome someone into the practice. You will lead from inside the operation, typically working around three hands‑on Care Advocate/front‑desk shifts each week. That keeps you close to our clients, team, systems and pressure points. While leaving protected time to lead people, bring the vision to life, improve the business and execute the plan, making excellence feel effortless. You’ll create the culture that makes clients say, "wow." If you want to manage primarily from an office, this probably isn’t the right role. If you enjoy being close to clients and your team while building a better business around them, keep reading. Born in 2018 after a deeply personal frustration with the way people can lose confidence in their health and their body without knowing where to turn. Our co‑founder Josh watched his mum lose her health and quality of life as a teenager without answers, and it sparked a fire to create a third place to get well and stay well. What started as one small clinic has grown into the UK #1 family chiropractic practice for clinical excellence. - and we’re just getting started. We wanted to create something different: a place where people feel cared for, understood and hopeful about what is possible for their health and quality of life. Today, our purpose is bigger than running a successful clinic. We want to help people restore clarity and confidence, reconnect with what matters and experience more energy, joy and possibility in their lives. And we are ambitious about what comes next. We’re on a mission to accelerate the end of human suffering by restoring balance to the nervous system and rekindling the human spirit. We see a world where every person trusts their body to heal, adapt, and thrive naturally. Where confidence replaces fear and movement becomes joy again. We see healing centres in every major city around the globe; we want to build an organisation capable of bringing that experience to many more people and communities. That requires more than great clinicians. It requires exceptional leaders. We care more about character, ownership and attitude than whether you come from chiropractic or healthcare. We can teach you our systems, terminology and client journey; what is much harder to teach is how you show up, how you treat people and how you respond when things get difficult. Our values shape how we work: If this sounds like you, you’ll feel right at home: Honesty - Own it. Close the loop. Your words, actions and commitments line up. You do what you say you will do, take responsibility and communicate clearly. If you miss, you say so early and put it right. Humility - Be coachable You care enough to tell the truth kindly, stay open enough to hear it and focus on what is right, not who is right.. Vulnerability — Show up. Be seen. Own the lesson. You ask for help early, have real conversations and turn mistakes into learning. Teamwork —One team. Raise the standard. You put the team above ego, come prepared, be at your best when your best is needed, enjoy a difficult challenge, step up when it matters, protect the standard and care about the collective result. Fun — Notice the good. Create the joy. You notice the good, practice gratitude, celebrate wins, bring warmth, humour and energy to help make work somewhere people actually enjoy being. Courage — Do hard things You speak up early, face hard things, make decisions, take bold action and hold the standard with care. Results matter, and how you achieve them matters too. Resourcefulness — Find the constraint. Fix the cause. You take initiative, diagnose the real block, solve the real problem and leave things better and easier to repeat than you found them. Why Join Us • Interaction with CEO/Co‑Founders, • Core role in strategy through quarterly and annual planning reviews, • Career development training, • Supportive, mission‑driven team that changes lives daily, • Leadership mentoring from founder, • Office Perks: Fully funded chiropractic care, Life Insurance (3x salary), Healthcare Cash Plan, Pension, 28 days holiday (incl. bank hols), birthday off, team socials What You’ll Own (Integrator in Action) Lead & Manage People → Recruit, coach, develop and align a high‑performing, values‑driven team around clear roles, scorecards and standards. Onboard people properly, run effective 1:1s, recognise strong performance, develop future leaders and address performance issues early. You care deeply about people without confusing care with avoiding accountability. Great people should know where they stand, what great looks like and how they can grow. Run the Business & Drive Growth → Own the day‑to‑day operating performance of the practice. Working with the CEO, you will build the annual operating budget, including revenue, payroll, operating costs, capacity assumptions and Adjusted EBITDA targets, then translate it into clear quarterly and monthly targets. Use KPIs, forecasts, staffing, capacity and management information to spot gaps early, reforecast where needed and make commercially sound decisions. Revenue matters. Profitable, sustainable growth matters more. You will own execution against the approved revenue and Adjusted EBITDA plan while protecting the client experience, the long‑term health of the business and the Life Balance brand. Integrate the Functions → Bring together clinical, client services, marketing, sales, people, finance and operations. Run effective meetings, maintain scorecards and reporting, oversee key systems and ensure priorities remain visible. Resolve cross‑functional issues and prevent departments from operating in silos. Deliver a Remarkable Client Experience → Lead a team that delivers a warm, responsive and consistently remarkable experience. Use client feedback, including Net Promoter Score, to identify friction, improve the journey and build lasting trust and loyalty. Diagnose & Remove Constraints → Spot recurring problems early, identify the real cause and create a clear plan to remove it. Assign ownership, follow through and improve the underlying system rather than repeatedly working around the same problem. Execute & Drive Accountability — Finish what matters. Turn annual and quarterly priorities into weekly execution. Protect focus, keep the leadership team aligned, hold owners accountable and ensure important actions are fully closed. • The majority of the team consistently achieve the standards of their role scorecards., • Clients are delighted, with strong retention, referrals, reviews, membership growth and NPS., • Capacity, staffing and recruitment are managed proactively rather than reactively., • People receive meaningful coaching, accountability and development., • Priorities and important projects are completed fully and on time., • The practice delivers or exceeds its approved revenue and profitability plan., • The practice increasingly runs effectively without the founders needing to chase execution. Who You Are You’ve already led people successfully and understand that leadership is less about authority and more about creating clarity, trust and accountability. Ideally, you have 5+ years’ experience leading teams of 12-49 people and know how to get results through others while still being willing to get stuck in yourself. You’re an Integrator. You turn ideas into execution, bring structure to complexity and create order where others see chaos. You’re commercially sharp. You’re comfortable moving between a P&L conversation and a client conversation. You can read KPIs, budgets and management information, spot issues early and make sound decisions. You’re people‑first. You have high emotional intelligence, communicate clearly and can coach and support people while still giving direct feedback and holding standards. You take ownership. You’re organised, detail‑oriented, resourceful and follow things through. You don’t leave important work half‑finished or wait for someone else to solve the problem. You can analyse the numbers in the morning, work alongside the front‑desk team later that day and see both as equally important. Most importantly, you enjoy building something better: stronger people, better systems, higher standards and a healthier business. Bonus • Background in health, wellness, dental, hospitality or service industries., • Degree or leadership qualification (Chartered Management Institute, MBA, BSc Business, Institute of Leadership Management) £35,000–£40,000 base salary Quarterly Performance Excellence Discretionary Bonus: target annual opportunity of approximately 20% of base salary, primarily linked to delivering the agreed Adjusted EBITDA plan and an exceptional client experience. Annual Leadership Profit Share: when the practice exceeds its approved annual Adjusted EBITDA plan, additional profit is shared on a discretionary basis through our leadership profit‑sharing pool. Deliver the plan → earn your target bonus. Beat the plan → participate in the additional value you helped create. For exceptional leaders who consistently deliver and help build the next stage of Life Balance, there may also be an opportunity to participate in a future long‑term growth/equity scheme. If this sounds like you, we’d love to meet. #J-18808-Ljbffr
